Café Psalms 150 is a nonprofit Christian Outreach Ministry devoted to Christian teachings, the joy, development, and interests of the upcoming youth and all people in our community and society in the state of Chicago.  To also be a positive role model to others and to break the negativity that is in our community

Ministry Summary
This Café has the potential to reap the harvest.  The Café will provide a new scene to bring to the young people of today along with friends and neighbors.  The Café Psalms 150 will be a warm and welcoming place that is alcohol/smoke free and will host/promote a variety of different live performances and presentations.  Rather than trying to reach/attract a specific group to the café, we anticipate different ages and groups of people will be attracted based on who will be performing and/or presenting.  This provides great flexibility and opportunity to reach a larger variety of people who need to hear about Jesus.  It will also allow a multigenerational audiences.

What We Offer
The Café will be a place where the gift of performance can be presented for the non-churched people in Providence and surrounding areas.  There are many young people in the church and community who are looking for a public place for them to share and develop their gifts of music, dance, art, comedy, writing, and drama but they do not have a place to do this.  The café is safe, attractive place for young people to come perform; a place to know Jesus more; a place where they can grow in their passion for sharing Jesus and skills and become a light to the world.

Why the Name "Café Psalms 150?"
There are two primary reasons for this name.  The name was taken from Psalms 150 which states to praise the Lord with trumpets, cymbals, timbrel and dance.  It states that everything should praise the Lord.  This Café will always lift the Lord up in praises, worship, music, dance, song and more.  The other relevance is that we see the café as a stepping stone for people who do not go to church because they don’t see it as a fun place but rather a place of rules.  The Café will be a place where they will have fun and see Jesus in a variety of ways that will break their image of "Church".  Essentially, it will be through the "Café Psalms 150" that people will start attending church.  We also see this ministry as a revolving door.  Performers will come to the café for experience and then head out to perform in public venues to reach people who may not be attracted to the Church and or Christ.
